The Area Health Resource File (AHRF) is a national county-level health resources information database

A new release of the AHRF data file is issued annually; the 2015-2016 AHRF ASCII files and 2015-2016 AHRF Access System are now available.
For differences in these two products refer to AHRF Access Questions.

Note that both the ASCII and the Access versions of the AHRF include historical data; however, the AHRF Access includes substantially more complete historical information. To see what years of data are available for particular variables, go to the Search AHRF feature and click on the AHRF ascii, AHRF Access or Both Products to identify the file format of interest, then highlight a particular category of data (or leave blank to get all categories) and search to identify the years of data available.
